Key Points

  1. The cost of the undertaking Stages 1 and 2 of the ELRA is £40
  2. Both Stages 1 and 2 last a full day.  All candidates are required to undertake Stages 1 and 2
  3. Referees joining a Referees' Society will be required to undertake Stage 3, during which he/she will be observed refereeing one match.  He/she will be provided with the contact details of the local Referees' Society during Stage 2
  4. All ELRA courses are delivered by accredited RFU Referee Trainers and members of the Referee Department Development team
  5. Candidates will receive an official RFU certificate for each stage successfully completed
  6. Candidates undertaking Stages 1 and 2 will receive, with their certificate, a Community Rugby branded whistle and card set
  7. All candidates will be able to purchase a Community Rugby branded rugby shirt
  8. All candidates completing Stage 3 will be provided, free of charge, with a Community Rugby branded polo shirt
