Introduction

Tens has been extremely popular because it allows groups to enter two (more for even larger groups) teams, thus giving all players maximum time on the playing field.

It provides more room players to be able to run free and move the ball into space.  It is also slightly slower than 7 a side as the pitch is slightly more congested.

With 3 more players on the field more tactical play comes into practice with a focus on forward play at scrums and line outs.

The game is mostly used as a development tool within pre season training and when player numbers are short.

Clubs and Constituent Bodies could offer 10''s festivals at the start of the season as a gentle introduction to the season.
